Whether I'm redesigning a room or starting from scratch, the before and after pictures are always dramatic. Each room has a story, and I'd like to share some of them with you. Click on any image to view it larger.

An outdoor retreat

The owners of this Huntingdon Valley home were thrilled to be celebrating their son's first birthday. They wanted to host a party outside, but knew they needed help bringing the space to life. Inspired By Design created a cohesive layout with the couple's existing furniture, and added lots of fun accessories to turn this bland and boring deck into a cozy, festive, outdoor space ready for many parties in the future!

An inviting guest suite

A young, professional couple was looking forward to a visit from friends at their new home in Media, PA. With hectic work schedules on top of planning their wedding, lots of urgent deadlines were looming to get this room done. We agreed to work on the project virtually and after several Facetime calls and texts while the clients were out shopping, we were able to pull the elements together and create this inviting and peaceful space...and their guests loved it!

Family room refresh

This room is a great example of how taking a bit of a design risk can truly pay off. Already a relaxing and comfortable room, we decided to take it up a notch by painting the walls a deep, rich, blue. The result is an elevated design that feels cozy and highlights the architecture, while also becoming an even more inviting spot for the entire family to unwind at the end of the day.

A bath update

This was a very special guest/boys' bathroom renovation in Doylestown, PA. We were so happy to be featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer's Home and Design section in an article on bathroom trends. The entire space was redone to create a beautiful, functional, bathroom. Special touches like the pocket door, radiant flooring, and moveable faucets make this space really unique. And we can't forget about the illuminated mirror just for mom.

We just moved in!

An empty space with potential; I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this living room update in my home. I had a vision in mind: calm, inviting, cozy, and contemporary. It took some time to find the right elements, the layout, each piece of furniture, custom window treatments, decorative accessories, and an incredibly special commissioned piece of art. It all came together so nicely, and I'm very happy with the result.

Curating perfect bookshelves

Accessorizing a wall of built-ins can be a daunting task. We arranged heirlooms, photographs, books, and mementos from the family's travels to create a balance of color, height, and texture. The arrangement is also very practical--there are baskets to store toys and everyday clutter.

Primary Oasis

As a repeat client, I was thrilled to hear this family of three found their forever home AND were expecting their second child. Their primary bedroom was spacious, but dark and uninviting.  We brought the space to life with a fresh paint color and purchased all new furniture and accessories to create a classic, comfortable, oasis to enjoy for a long time. This entire project was done virtually!
